I'm not sure if it applies to branch marshals but for other ranks the black for armor is velvet and the black for artillery is plain cloth. These appear to be velvet.
While things can be artificially aged, it is remarkable that appears to be no tarnish at all in silver on the boards or braid after 50 years +
The inside looks righteous and like my m45's...maybe legitimate armor marshal with replacement artillery boards?

I think it's a fantasy. Maybe, it belonged to a hotel porter :)

Precisely. The fact the uniform's "gold" embroidery is more yellow toned and lacks that aged look/patina is the reason I would steer clear of this one. The appearance of the gold embroidery on the M1945 VP uniform and M1945 MSU VP service cap in my collection are 180 out from the embroidery on the above example.

I'm unaware of a black velvet versus black cloth distinction between armor and artillery marshal M1945 VP uniform cuffs. Maybe DougD will shed some light on that angle.

This is 100% (both tunic and shoulder boards) fake of M1945 ABTV Marshal uniform.
First I was under impression that they ruined the M1945 Generals tunic, but based on the pristine condition of everything but the buttons I'd say it's a recent replica. Incorrect collar, cuffs and shoulder boards embroiderng tells it all.
