I have to say that the one on the right is more...normal looking.
For some reason the left star looks like the crest was really squeezed into the center of the star. :o |

These were intended for use on Naval sailor's Бескозырка - Beskozerka - "Bezka" from 1943 onwards. I have come across a few different variations. IMO, yours is a 1940s/early 50s example and in a condition that is superb. I'll gladly take an example of one is you have another... Ten bucks was a fine deal. :wink |
