gimnastiorka m35 - original?
This one was rather cheap (as for an oiginal one).
It has "old" brass buttons (undated). The colour is something between green, gray and white. It has some "signature" on the inside (probably indicating a museum or theatre item). There is a trace of collar tabs removed. It has a stamp (not shown on pic)with 38 date, but someone told me it does not look like 60-70 years old. The material seems to be quite unusual. So, is it a fake or original? thanks in advance p.s. Sorry for the poor pics, my camera isn't working properly. Last edited by Al-muell; 05-20-2005 at 11:43 AM. |

pullover
I am not sure what it is supposed to be. Maybe a theatre copy for air force? Its not "real" in my opinion , i.e. issued in WWII.

the colour
OK, maybe I should remove this poor pics, as I see they cause a bit ofconfusion... Or there is something I don't know about.
The shirt seems to be made of material that was originaly white/dark gray and was colored green, but the green color faded (!) away due to either intensive washing, wear, or bad weather conditions and is only visible (but very pale) in the places where the material was covered by another piece (like pockets, collar). In fact it has the original traces of wear (although it has nothing that can be clearly identified as moth holes). I have checked that in UV light and there is only one "artificial" string (that was used to do some repair). the stamp says simply "tailor factory If it's a theatre copy, it's good enough and explains the price... THANKS! |
