$5,000
Alright gentlemen,
Let's say a distant relative dies, or you win a lotto, or even find a brick of cash on the ground one day. and you decide to expand your medal collection? How do you do it and why??? I buy several nice middle mange medals, a screw back ORBL or a T1 combat service medal, friendship of nations, an earlier OPW1 etc. some combination of medals like that is what i would buy. my reason is that i personally enjoy the looks and significance of some of the upper middle range medals as opposed to buying an HSU or lenin (Just because some of these were awarded 'just for the hell of it' to generals and marshals etc.). just my thoughts. other people???

Re: $5,000
Last HSU T.2 available on Internet (a NJ well-known seller... as ever ) has been sold for more than USD 10K! something like 10'500.00 (with small ID) and the citation was not very impressive (compared to other citations).
