I thought I have published it here somewhere few years ago, but then couldn't find it. Anyway, under the link below You can find the translation to English of the memoires of Engineer-colonel Ivan Ivanovich Svetlakov that he wrote down for the Central Archive of the MVD Interior Troops with all the photographs. The text covers the period from 1937 to the 1960s.
