USSR Trade Unions 16th Congress Press Pass Badge

My previous employment as a journalist for a number of years makes me jump at things like this.

I just got this one in and have to give the MMD :thumbsup:thumbsup for the craftsmanship of this member of the 16th All-Union Press "Conference" - (sorry, it's the literal translation). Because of the stylized round mint mark all I can tell about when this happened was that it was after 1974, but because of the superb quality, I'd guess 1980s.

My guess is this was a "Press Pass" for a journalist covering the Soviet Labor Union's 16th assembly.
