Here are a few pics taken in the Stasi.
They have been taken in the Building 1 of the HQ of the Ministry for State Security (MfS or Stasi). This building is located in Normannenstrasse, Berlin. From here, Erich Mielke directed the "Shield and Sword of the Party". Enjoy the tour... #2 The entrance... #3 Control post. #4 The Entrance Hall. #5 A Prisoner Transport vehicle (GTW). Ch. #1 In Mielke's office.
#2 Mielke's private area in the adjacent room. #3 The Conference Room. #4 The Cafeteria where the Generals of the Stasi had their Coffee Break, when attending conferences. it is today a small cafeteria open to all. Here it is... Nothing has changed since 1989. The spirit is still the same as it was in the 70s... A travel back to the past... :thumbsup Cheers. Ch. You don't have one ?.. It is not yours... ? :p On a more serious note, this building is currently under refurbishment. The "museum" part has been located in a small buiding facing this one, that used to be a building with meeting rooms and cafeteria... Cheers. Ch. |
