Is this a WW2 M43 gimnastyorka?

I recently picked up my first M43 gimnastyorka. Could it be wartime manufactured? Is this a rifle's uniform?

Buttons are brass and steel (attract magnet), undated. All are sewn in with some sort of thick twine-type of thread. It's in overall "well-used" condition. No visible internal stamps other than a faint P2W (W looks like sideways E) stamp that's about 1" high letters (what does that mean?)

Shoulder boards have some internal illegible stamps. Looked and shoulderboard buttons DO have a date... 55.

The combat medal is one I added, but using existing holes. Also appears there might be a post hole over the other pocket for a guards badge or something similar?

Thanks for any info. I'm completely new at Soviet uniform collecting, but have been reading/learning a lot :D

Could be. I would say thet gimnastiorka itself is not older than early 50's.
However, the shoulderboards are probably not original to it. I mean - they look like unissued ones which looks strange compared to the condition of this shirt.

Bdgfate,

It seems to me that this could be an officer's gymnasterka. What material is it? Is there lining at the cuffs?

I agree

my date one this tunic would be first half of the 50ties as well due to the looks of the reverse of the buttons.
Best

Marc, the material is a wool material, very itchy on the exterior, inside is not bad. Yes, I think the cuffs are lined. Material is definitely different. These next pics make the color look far more washed out than it really is. It's a fairly dark olive khaki, but to get the liner to show well, I used a flash.

The material that lines the front pocket flaps is the same as that shown here in the cuffs. The actual pockets are made out of that same material as well.
