Today's tip

Are you missing the suspension ring to a medal? Ya know, that thing that connects the loop on the medal itself to the suspension?
Have you used string or little bits of wire molded around the end of your needlenose pliers?
Are you tired of firing up the forge and breaking a sweat with hammer on anvil making new rings?

Do you want a simple and easy way to fix up that shabby Bravery Medal or unconnected Leningrad medal?

If so look in your toilet. That's right, you heard right; look in your toilet tank.

Don't ask me how I figured this out, and "no" I'm not a plumber by trade, but that chain that connects the flush handle to the flapper on the bottom is made up little links that are almost identical to the suspension rings. And, they're stainless steel no less! Even the cut in the link is the same.

An image is attached.

That concludes today's tips. Regular programming will now resume.

Re: Today's tip

I just looked here at work and I found an old chain that was covered with some kind of filth. I think that I will take Tretov's advice and go to the neighborhood hardware store.
