Modern Embroidery?

Is it normal on officers visors?
As in the eagles on the top being embroidered as well and the leaves around the cap badge?

I havent seen pictures of troops/militia wearing them like that but my hat is genuine, so what gives?

i know many cap's on the almighty E have the same leaves embroider on them.

i have never seen nor in real nor on E the eagle embroider.
and i must admit it gives a slightly more classy appearance to the cap.
it is nice instate of the bright shining badges.

who knows it might have been in use ?

Wouldn't it be way cheaper to use the metal eagles? Those embroideries look expensive!

Both types are available for sale. It is up to the individual's taste and depth of pocket ;)

how does this thing work than?

in the most NATO armies, you get supplied as a soldier by a central supply unit.
they give you any thing you need and are allowed to wear.
it is restricted and you will be punished if you use any thing you did not get through the central unit.
you pay nothing for this supplies (like clothing and such all).

so in the Russian army they don't get every thing through a central unit ?
they have to buy fancy things them selfs ?

And where can I find the same hat but with metal badges?

Im not even sure if they would have to go through the central unit, they are militia, not military am I correct?
Perhaps the militia are given different types in different parts of the country?

I do not know much about the whole distribution in army/police, so I am just running in the dark. :o

A Voentorg is a shop selling exclusively military/police/Emergency Service uniforms and equipments. As far as I understand, personnel gets a standard allowance for their uniform and equipment; they can then purchase whatever quality they want, but may have to pay from their own pocket if they do not take the "standard" model.
