Partisan Commemorative 1941.
Before the official system of awards was in place - Yugoslavia awarded its partisans with badges.
Here's Type 1 badge - made in Soviet Union. Later these badges were exchanged for Type 2 silver ones, making these one of the rarest Yugoslavian awards. William |

This is considered to be one of the rarest Yugoslavian badges.
Actually it's more than just a badge, as it was elevated to the status of the order by the Yugoslavian government. William |

Dolf,
$110 is a bit high. I'm thinking about it... Rusty.

Rusty,
Well, if it "is considered to be one of the rarest Yugoslavian badges", as stated by William, then it's not even too high. But I know what you mean, even if "it was elevated to the status of the order by the Yugoslavian government", as also mentioned by William, after all it's still a Badge: Badge shape, Badge look... Also it's not easy from this pic to see in which condition is the enamel. I was also tempted but, giving it a 2nd thought... Dolf |

Guys,
I hear you saying "$110 is too much for a badge", but consider this: about two years ago I was offered this badge from a source in Yugoslavia (now this guy usually has good prices, much better than you would see on eBay) for $90. So, I'd say the price for one on eBay is about right. Keep in mind that very few of these survived - majority were exchanged for later version... William |

William,
Not that rare... I've been offered one for $50 with enamel damage. I've been offered one for a bit over $100 with slight enamel damage. Now I'm working on a clean one and hoping it will be below $100... We'll see... Rusty.

Partisan Spomenica
Gentlemen,
Which one is the older one? According to the S/N I guess it's the screwback one, right? Sorry for the poor pics :o Anyway, screwback is #1661 and pinback is #23366 (not sure about the last 2 digits!) Thanks, Dolf Last edited by Dolf; 12-06-2005 at 05:00 PM. |

Dolf, are you starting to collect Yugoslavian awards? I see that you have a growing interest for those awards. :)
I think you are showing the differences between the first and the second class. So the numbers don't match together.
