Actually never even considered researching him through the Soviet archives, but that indeed is an interesting thought.

Here is the National Flag Order 2nd Class Type 1. This Order will likely date from 1951 (number range 2600-2650) and has been well worn. The original screwplate is two piece construction.

Here is the third type made from copper-nickel with the horizontal pinback. Numbered in the 10600-10650 range.

Here is the National Flag Order 2nd Class Type 4. A six piece mixed copper-nickel alloy construction with a rivet retaining the pin. This one is numbered in the 28950-28999 range. Orders of this type continue well into the 62000 range.

Here is National Flag Order 2nd Class Type 5. This Type does not have the rivet retaining the pin. These Orders were used in the 65000-100000 range. This particular Order is numbered somewhere in the 69100-69150 range.

Here is the Order Of The National Flag 2nd Class Type 5 Variation 2. This variation differs from the last as there is a "ᄂ" before the serial number, denoting the second 100,000. This order is from the ᄂ18950-ᄂ18999 range.
