Not Get

Hello,

No,no others. I never had much of an interest in these but I'll be watching for them in the future.

Hello,
I've seen this one for sale, but I would like to have an idea of what it is worth before I start negociating. Can anyone help?

Wow. Neat badge. No clue about value though. Sorry.

Hey Vatjan

Does your badge have a mint mark or a local jeweler's maker's mark? I bought a very similar badge a couple of weeks ago. Mine is jeweler-made. My belief is that it is from the mid-1920s. Today I bought a very early Osoaviakhim membership booklet. Still no badge-with-document, though. I'm still looking.

ÁVERS 5 tells that there are two variants for this badge, silver and bronze.

AVERS price for the silver one is 100-130 US dollars and for the bronze one 25-30 US dollars. So it would more "in normal prices".

Also AVERS says that it is made 1924.

In the Likhitskiy´s catalogue there are pictures of two different sizes for the same badge.

Thanks for the replies. I will keep you guys informed, but this may take awhile, because I see this dealer only once every month at a local militaria fair.

PVKO Badges

The ones on the left and top right are duplicates of ones I have back home. However, the second level one on the bottom right is the only one of those I have ever seen. Of course, that doesn't mean that you don't have a box of them in your desk. I suspect that I now have all of the major variations of this badge, but ... how can I be sure?

PVHO Badge Variations

Gentlemen,

Below is a pic of identical badges in different sizes.
Is there a reason for the size difference?

I know the second one has the wrong suspension. It's better than nothing...
:D

Thanks,

Rusty.

Oh, NOW you've done it. So much for me thinking that I had all the major variants of this one. I'll have to keep looking.

I have 2-3 pin-backs in the smaller size, including a Level 2. The ones I posted an image of, plus a handful back home. I thought they were lapel pins. They are all now in the states and I can't remember for sure if I have a screw-back version also or just pins.

I had that one pin-back here but I just sent it home, along with a bunch of other things. I don't remember thinking that it was a conversion from a hanger, but I can't say for sure now. I'm pretty sure that I haven't seen a small version on a hanger.

As for the suspension on the other one, my guess is that they weren't all that picky. I have a "Ready for Sanitary Defense" on a blank home-made (and possibly silver) diamond-shaped suspension. Somebody was proud enough of their badge to make a substitute hanger for it.

Nice find. I know that I would buy one if I saw it.
