Comrade Titarenko was a participant of the battle for Stalingrad, for the liberation of the left bank and right bank of Ukraine, to break the German defences west of Kovel' and to expand the the bridgehead on the Vistula.
During the tough marches from the Northern Donets to Dnestr and from Kovel' to Vistula, as well as the battles to expand the bridgeheads and for the bridgehead on the Vistula Comrade Titarenko repeatedly risked his life personally delivering produce to subunits located at the front. Thanks to the selfless labour of Comrade Titarenko and his concern to the care of the nutrition and life of fighters, the battalion received hot meals three times per day.
For uninterrupted supply of the battalion with hot food and concern to the care of the nutrition and life of fighters I present Comrade Titarenko for the Governmental award Medal "For Combat Merits".
