Here are a few Polish graduation badges from 1952 & 1955

Here is a series of graduation badges with their initial award date. Specialists talk about two variations of the 1972 badges with a wide and a narrow border.

The academy badges for higher officers are made in Soviet style probably because of the greater probability for recipients' contact with Warsaw-Pact countries. These badges do not seem to have changed over time. (The red backing of the academy badge shown has been added by someone to elevate its importance.)

graduation badges are not easy to collect in any of the Warsaw-Pact countries, there are just too many. Only counting the types, not the variations, Poland issued 66 different graduation badges for officers. There are additional ones for non-commissioned officers.

The prices vary widely, starting at about $10 for the more common issues. I would assume that the real rare issues may cost to $1000 and possibly even more. I have not kept up with the prices of Polish awards and can only estimate based on past experience.
