Here are some pics of soviet airforce WWII items.
First a pilot tunic with jump badge, a russian translation of a US flight manual, a nagant revolver and a visor hat Second, 2 leather coats (black and brown) form 1940 and 1942 Here is the detail of another tunic of airforce. Note the form of the insignia. Here is a blue visor hat. It's quite rare to find one made after 1942! The Irvin jacket was found also in Russia A last one for today....the rare pilot mapcase made of true leather. The "kirza" one is more common. This one is dated 1939, the rule and disc too. Hello Jerome and welcome to the forum. Can you take photos of the back of the collar tabs and the inside of the caps?

Hi Doug,
Here are the stamps I've found on these cap: The blue one is clear but it's quite strange withe end-war insignias of the cap The kaki one has a stamp but unreadable:( .... My last visor hat....very nice but no markings at all....the inner part is falling in parts.... Jerome Last edited by CtahhR; 04-16-2014 at 06:36 PM. |

Do the caps have m40 general's cocades? Or are they just AF cocade variants that look like go cocades?

Hi Nack,
The AF cockade is smaller than the general one I think. I've never seen "in hand" a general one. The back of the star is light blue enamel. Jerome |

Very nice, but if you ever get tired of the blue visor cap...
