Some years ago I got this huge medal bar. I think the combination of awards makes sense so I think (or hope) it is not "put together". Any chance to research this one?

Re: Huge medal bar with Order of October Revolution - researchable?

Jens,

IMHO, I doubt it. Do you have the award booklet(s)?

Without the booklets the chances are so finite it is almost 0.

Thanks for the fast replies. Unfortunately I don't have any documents. What do you think about the medal bar? Originally mounted?

The bar as a whole does not fill me with confidence. It is difficult to go either way but anything is possible.

Sadly, without booklets some groups are dead ends (first example) and even with documents some groups are dead ends too (second example). There is no justice in our "hobby".

Ed,

Your first group should be researcheable through the ORB. That being said, it looks a bit "award-heavy" to me, but then again...

That had been my thought too, but it has come up "not found" through at least four of the major researchers of the past and present. If real (and I have the same doubts), likely KGB? In any case, the price was not out of line for prices for the individual pieces, so even if not a group . . . .

Thanks Jene, sorry to hijack your thread, but sometimes it is nice to know that misery has company (and to learn, wink-wink, that some have there super-secret sources).
