It's an interesting cigarette case you have. :thumbsup
I also have a nice one I got 4-5 years ago and I thought that would be a nice thread to share it with others. It has Russian inscriptions "[In] MEMORY OF THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR 1944" It is not really trench art as the case is not hand made, but there's some hand work. |

1948 KGB Border Guard Cigarette Case, KGB emblem, USSR map with large CCCP spaced across it! I JUST LOVE IT! Really good condition for it's age.

I am not for sure whether it was an award or an implement of work available for purchase and whether or not it was confined to Officer ranks. It would be interesting to find out.
