2 unknown russian visor caps - Page 2

The inside doesn't look soviet at all... Hard to say what manufacture it is. It may be cap that was made for the soviet soldier abroad.
The word on the label doesn't seem to make any sense at all, neither if we consider it cyrilic nor latin alphabet (at least I have trouble with it).
It is probably the name of the owner.

Could You check what date is there on the buttons (on the back of them), how they are attached (doesn't have to help at all, but there's a chance...) and what is the badge made of.
btw. The sweatband isn't leather, is it?

the buttons are one piece stitched on the cap so i cant really read whats on the back, there is some thing in crylic and it say's cccp.
i thot i saw some thing with a 6 on both butons.

the star is not the original witch was on it, but it was an kopper emaile one (one piece).

the band is leather thats wat i find so wierd.

the writhing inside say's some thing like krijmchak and it has been worn of a bit bij wearing it.

On the big E i have found a cap with a similair visor it has good pictures.
it is listed under " Soviet Army Justice Medical Officer Parade Uniform Cap".

The date should be two-digit. I am just curious wether this buttons are from the same year or not. The fact that they are stitched may indicate a re-make or non-soviet/custom manufacture.

This Krijmchak doesn't make sense to me - don't know how to read it and why would a soviet soldier write it in latin alphabet? OK, Krimchak would sound a bit more acceptable, same as e.g. Krimc'ak (if he served in C'SR) or Krimczak (Poland), but still would be an oddity. Esp. that the name isn't typicaly ruthenian (altough indeed sounds slavic), so a "non-soviet" by nationality would have smaller chance to serve outside the SU.

The visor of the cap from auction is a bit different - i think it has a cloth on the interior side. Also it has more "regular" inside. Anyway - I think that one was custom made.

My guess is it was made outside the Soviet Union for a soviet officer serving there and that the writing on the labael was added later.

the butons are marked some thing crilic i cant type. and 79, 68 on both there is cccp, thats all i can make of it. the tread (wire) that was used the stitch the buton's on are differend the one on the 68 buton look older dan a more primitive stitch on the 79.

the star is a standard badge with only the usual round mark on the back.

i think your the best person to judge the writhing, if you want a more detailed picture you should send me a pb.

The date 68 is ok, byt in 1979 such caps would be no longer in use. The later button might have been replaced by the seller - not by the original owner.

I don't think I am the best person to judge, but I would gladly see additional pictures.

Hi ,

i just found out that the cap with the strange writhing aint a movie production or any thing that a like.

Its a bulgarian cap.
now i only need to know the right ara and find a badge for it.

who can help me with this ?

Ah, that explains the strange signature. Bulgarian alphabet is different from russian.
The badge should be a cocade similar in shape to soviet one, but in the center, there should be a red star on three-colour background (white, green, red) instead of red star with h&s on the white background.
I had a picture, but can't find it now.
