This is a Federation of Space Kosmanaut Medal of Uri Gagarin.

I hope you like it. It is gold plated on the front and like 3D.

The back says this is the first Kosmanaut in the world Urii Gagarin

I managed to pick up this Cosmonautics Federation of Russia World's First Flier-Cosmonaut Yuri A. Gagarin Medal (Second issue) today. The medal was minted in April 1999 at the Moscow Mint. The six-line inscription on the reverse reads: <THE EARTH'S FIRST COSMONAUT YURI ALEXEYEVICH GAGARIN> in the center with a five-pointed star above it. The inscription <COSMONAUTICS FEDERATION OF RUSSIA> run's along the medal's upper periphery. The dates <1934-1968> corresponding to Gagarin's birth year and the year he died are inscribed along the lower edge. The ribbon plate has a Vostok spacecraft surrounded by two laurel wreaths. Quantity: 300 medals. This medal appears in SPACE EXPLORATION AWARDS, Volume I. Bids:13. Sold for $54.49 + S/H. A long-awaited addition to my collection! :D:thumbsup
