ID a uniform

Found this very strange uniform.
The guy who opens the door has an uniforms i've never seen before... do you?
The still photo is dated 1957 so given the "new" prescriptions about uniforms of the soviet diplomatic corps (1954) no one below minister 2 rank had uniform. I'm pretty sure it's not related from the CD.

Is it a doorkeeper uniform?!:confused:

Since he is holding the door for the big shots, my guess would be he is a hotel bellboy or piccolo - although with a uniform suitable for a marshal.

Could be, just the hotel is the Soviet Embassy in Moscow.
