I am not sure about this piece.

But I do not like the mint mark. Some characterisitcs are missing.

But all is possible.

Does somebody has a picture of mint mark near by?

best regards
Andreas

re: Fake Orders of Nevsky

This is my thoughts.

I think, for this serial number range, the mint mark should be curved, not straight.

The details near the shield and and near the tip of the sword also look to correspond to a later variation.

"Орден Александра Невского Тип 3, Вариант 1
Минимальный известный номер ордена – 10707, максимальный - 30324"

"Орден Александра Невского Тип 3, Вариант 2
Минимальный известный номер ордена – 23705, максимальный - 50598."

Type 3 variation 2 nevsky.jpg

I think, at best it may possibly be a type 3, variation 2 but with an altered serial number?

What does everyone else think?

Tom

Tom- yes, i noticed that- though I thought that some overlap in numbers/versions is quite possible?
For example, on soviet-screwbacks this number falls into 3 categories of T3: V1, V2 and V3, but doesn't really resemble any of those...

Well, we'll see maybe to get some more opinions

Regards,
Igor

Pictures are very small, but I tend to like the Newski.

Re: Fake Orders of Nevsky

Although the serial number does not correspond with the type, I believe it to be original. The number looks washed and replaced so it might be a re-issue. What is the weight of the order?

Re: Fake Orders of Nevsky

Thank you for your fast estimation - I do not know - I haven`t purchased it yet... but the price is very attractive. What would be the correct weight ...?

Apx 41 gram but I've seen slightly lighter ones.
