Well, it´s still a M55! :)

I´d still purchase it and complete it (if I could); it doesn´t look that eaten. Maybe you would like to show us more pictures of the mothing damage and tell us how much would its value decrease.

There is not a huge amount of mothing (i have seen worse and am still working on that M1943 generals parade tunic), but it's also missing it's boards and collar devices...so a total restoration would be difficult. Value is very tough to pin down, but if one of my suppliers offered it to me I would turn it down...its just not a project I think I would take on.

Back before I was talked out of all my M55's, it always seemed to me that the hats were rather small for stated size. (57's felt like 56's, 56's like 55's). Looking at how this one is perched on comrade artilleryman's head, that must be how it was supposed to be.

This is an interesting one...looks like a black collared Paratrooper M1955 tunic! Maybe I am not ID'ing the collar insignia properly...?

I would agree- there is a paratrooper badge on the left as well!

Paratroopers indeed, I like that uniform, and I never really dug the M1955.
