Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment
During the period of combat actions against the Japanese imperialists Comrade Popov proved himself a bold, decisive, and willful commander. Commanding a training tank company at the Kraev outpost with bold and decisive action he destroyed a detachment of Japanese kamikadze who had attacked our transports and Frontal food stores near Zonetnii spring.
Capably leading his personnel he provided repairs and returned combat vehicles in the shortest amount of time.
He is deserving of the Order of the Red Star.
