True, but the seller did tell me the Lenin was not "original" but didn't say anything about this one. I'm sure the seller has honest intentions sice I know him well.

You did not say so in the Lenin thread. You reported that he told you some fairytale about OLs being made out of silver during the winter war...

The badge looks like it is trying to pass itself off as a Civil War-era commander badge, apparently cavalry.

It could be real, but I doubt it. The screwback plate already has prejudiced me against it.

I would agree that it is a fake. It is so crude it looks like it was made of plasticine.
