Druzinnik Badge

Cleber,
You just answered your question: Druzhinnik is a Voluntary Police.
The person on duty is wearing the Badge, so other "bad" people behave well when they see Druzinnik and know how important they are - Druzinniks or Police helpers. :)

Badge "Druzhinnik".

I don't know if it's the right forum, but what is this and does the document looks original?

In my Russian slovar Druzhinnik means : "Volontary member from the security service"

Is that right? Would that be KGB or police helper? :)

Thanks for your help!

This is a complete set.

It has nothing to do with KGB and more toward te MVD helper.

I don't think it's financially viable to fake a druzhinnik badge. I think you're OK.

Is there any equivalent to these "police helpers" in the western world? In Sweden there are almost more "Security guards" (uniformed guards, emplyoed by security companies, carrying no firearm) than police - were the Druzhinnik of the same type?

Not in America that I can think of. We generally encourage limited government and civil liberty organizations start getting real nervous when citizens would be authorized/encouraged to accept police roles. We have "community watch" programs where private citizens patrol their own neighborhoods and then report problems, but they are not "deputized" or able to intervene in situations beyond a citizen's arrest.

May be something like a "Neighbohood watch".
It is different from Dryzhinnik, but people on volunteer basis watch their neighbohoods.
Eric

Just for the information
1. Several different variations of Soviet Druzhinnik badges (old and new types)
2. Lituanian Druzhinnik badge
3. Estonian Druzhinnik badge
4. For Excellent Druzhinnik
