Badge "50 Years Of The AzSSR KGB".

Since I can't seem to locate my republican KGB badge thread via the "search" button (nothing at all comes up if I put "KGB" in the search box:confused:), I thought I would just post them here until I find the right one and then move it.

Anyway, the first badge is for the 50th anniversary of the Azerbaijan KGB and was made by the Leningrad Mint. Very well done in my opinion and one of the better quality local versions I've seen.

The camera is back in one piece!

This came in some months back, but I haven't been able to photograph it. The document was most interesting to me.

"Respected Comrade

"Zermii, A. M.,

"We invite you to a solemn assembly of workers' representatives in Baku and of employees of the KGB under the Council of Ministers of Azerbaijan Republic, dedicated to the 50-year anniversary of the formation of the Cheka-KGB in the Azerbaijan SSR.

"The gathering will be held on 18 December 1970 at 18 o'clock on the premises of the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named for M. F. Akhundov.

"BC CP of Azerbaijan

"Baku city Executive Committee of the Soviets,

"KGB under the Council of Ministers of the Azerbaijan SSR"

The left side is the same, in Azeri. The header on both sides proclaims the classic proletarian slogan. There is slight damage to the front and left interior. The card is of a heavy stock.
