Unawarded HSU + Lenin Set

This "lot" was offered to me by someone in the FSU.

He claims that this is an unawarded set of HSU and Lenin, which comes with a blank HSU Small Certificate and a blank Orders Book.

I am definitely skeptical/"not-buying" it, but wanted to post this nonetheless.

Gentelmen, those of you who possess the HSU lists, could you please look up the HSU # 11255 with a Lenin # 349094

Oh... almost forgot... this part is brilliant... asking price is....[drum roll]

From Ordenskaya Knizhka HSU list:

Entry for SN 11255 is blank :-(

11254 is there - then 11254-11258 are missing.

11249-11254 - awarded on 05-23-1966,
11259-11261 - on 07-22-1966

Go figure...

Although I agree that the star COULD be unissued, I can't understand why it would specifically need to be with this very Order of Lenin. It sounds strange to me that they would "assign" a Lenin to an unissued Gold Star in storage somewhere without issuing them. Now, if anybody had researched that specific Order of Lenin and it came back with a "unissued" result, I could live with that, but until then, I think it is a made up "set".

Eric, any chance to get a good scan of the small HSU document (front and back). If they now fake them well, we are in deep s...

I suppose it's possible that a HSU star could be unissued, but how do they know that it comes with THIS lenin. They didn't make them in sets at the mint, or gift-wraped them together. Would love to see a better picture of that Star, I am not totally convinced it's genuine.
