Little plastic soldiers

Ok, so I remember playing for hours with my plastic soldiers fighting against the Germans. There was the one with the walkie-talkie, the one prone on the ground, the one rushing forward and the one throwing a grenade. If you were a boy growing up in America you remember them. I have even seen the same little green men for sale in packs here in Poland.

So my son comes home from a birthday party (he is 4) and has several "little brown men" in the same poses. While looking at them imagine my surprise when I realize GI Joe is Comrade Joseph. He is holding a PPSh gun and not a carbine.

Ok so then I realized that the birthday boy's parents were Russian. Who'da thought that they had different plastic men.

Thats pretty awesome, over here in Canada I've seen bags of assorted Soviet army men with a little commie flag to boot!
They are pretty nifty.
