Photo Colouring..
Hello everyone!
I saw some people doing a lot of this with TR photos..so I decided to give it a try for some general of our side of the barricade. So here is my first attempt! I thought he was Marshal Bogdanov but no, unfortunately I do not know who he is! Towards the end of the medal bar I got a little confused komandir5gvtankarm-bogdanovsmall.jpg general.jpg

Re: Photo Coloring..
Not bad at all for a first try. There are some obvious problems but still much better than I could do. A little practise and you'll be a champ!

Re: Photo Coloring..
Me too! I still have my Crayola box of 50 colors I used when I was in elementary school. Guess that it´d become a memorabilia piece some years later?
Returning to the topic, I wonder if our photo artist friend Marco will paint the face too.

Re: Photo Coloring..
I do like crayons too! But the good thing about the "new age crayon" is that I can keep modifying it! For instance......... a bird just told me his collar shouldn't be black!! I started doing this as if he was Marshal Bogdanov and by the end I realized it was not him! I modified a little the face..not sure it is visible! general.jpg

Re: Photo Coloring..
pretty nice job. what kind of layering did you use in photoshop, if you don't mind me asking?
never thought of trying to restore fotos like these. i have done quite a bit of graphics and stuff for private sites and such, but i am curious if you used an adjustment layer with coloring and such by using the pen tool or if you did something else. very extensive work though. |

Re: Photo Coloring..
Hello ECD3. Actually, it was a pretty boring and repetitive job! I have just selected every "area" with the lazo tool, created a layer, filled it with color and adjusted its transparency. Lastly, I did some refining with a "cloudy" pen tool, always with a huge transparency.
