Re: Ukaz of 1974 for "overseas trips".

Probably not this, but here is a reference to a 1974 Feb. 21 awarding for military awards.

Re: UKAS 22.02.1968

It was "For success in service".

I don't have any additional information at hand.

It's for military and political training.

Do you have an award from the ukaz to share? :D

Re: UKAS 22.02.1968

I am not sure,

I have a Red Banner 488.140. I think it could be in the serial number range for the UKAZ 22.02.1968.

Any oppinions?

best regards
Andreas

Re: UKAS 22.02.1968

There was a "For Wounds" ukaz a week earlier and a few months later so we could speculate anything until it is researched. Coupled with the fact that the awards usually didn't go out in perfect serial number order.

As usual for these late awards, it could be anything. Red Banners are worse than Red Stars for unpredictability, in my opinion.

However, for some data:

In the 488,xxx range I have observed awards for long service (1956), flight hours (1957), and military and political training (1966). The numbers (last 3 digits) were in absolutely no sequential/chronological order - higher numbers sometimes a decade after lower numbers.

Which brings us back to the fact that they're unpredictable. Try research! :)

Hi Alfred,
There were at least three Ukaz on February 22, 1968

- No. 76 - 2405-VII Awarding Military Districts with Order of Lenin and Red Banner (see 1st attached picture)
- No. 77 - 2400-VII Awarding Cruiser Aurora with Order of October Revolution (see 1st attached picture)
- No. 78 - 2117-VII Awarding Marshals of Soviet Union, Chief Marshal of Artillery, of Aviation, Admirals, etc.. with Orders of October Revolution on the 50th anniversary of Soviet Army and Navy (see 2nd attached picture)

The only one that mentions Red Banner is the 1st one. There might be other Ukazes which I don't have in my possession though.

Hope it helps!

Here are more Ukaz of the same date 22.03.1968

Re: UKAS 22.02.1968

Would anyone happen to have a Ukaz on this date (22nd February 1968) mentioning Medals "For Combat Merits"?
