I want to say off the top of my head without any references handy that it is Polish. Just an educated swagger, but my memory has been known to fail...

Ribbon identification help

I checked the Polish Ribbon chart. It looks similar to the Brotherhood in Arms Decoration. I'm not used to seeing the "white" stripes applied over the ribbon. Maybe this one was specially made by the recipient.

Best,
Doc

Yeah, the Brotherhood in Arms was the one I was thinking of, but I think it's actually called something else like Grunwald medal - again, going off memory.

I don't see anything unusual with the customization.

Ribbon bar identification

This is another one of my recent flea market finds. I can identify the Soviet awards in the first two rows but need help with the non Russian ribbons in the bottom three rows.

Many thanks.

Paul

Nice ribbon bar. The two long ones at the third row are Czech: the first one is for the Order of the Slovak Uprising Order, 1st class. I don´t know the second one.

The last three ones are mongolian.

Fourth Row: Order of Combat Service x 2
Fifth Row: Medal of 50 Yrs of mongolian People´s Army.

many thanks, a rather curious combination. The seller claimed that the recipient was a colonel in the militia but he had no information on his service details.

I agree, it seems to be a rather curious combination of awards ! Any suggestions as to what the recipient could have been ?

Strange but true !

It is definitely complete, the reverse edge has nice stitching all the way around so there is nothing missing, it was made this way. It is also ex tunic since there are stitch holes and residual thread from where it was stitched on.

If only it could talk !
