Is this the one from one of the US dealers that was asking $870?
it came with reasearch, right?
Your picture looks way better than his!

Congratulations!

Get his bigger brother BK2, they look smashing together!

Congrats,

Rusty.

Yes, it was from a dealer in NJ for $870.00
I think it was well worth it. The best one I found was $800 on another site but it was type 2 and no research.

Next is Bogdan 2nd class.
I wanted to pick one up a week ago but it slipped under my nose. Was 9 out of 10. Will still keep looking.

Thank you all.

Since all Russian Medals are coined, it looks like some foreign material got in while this one was stamped... It almost looks like cloth or mart of cloth...

Whada ya think gentelmen?

Rusty.

Rare?

If this was a die break yes... but only because you can usually track the progression over many pieces...

If it is what I think it is, I'm surprizes. I was under the impression that QC (Quality Controll) was way higher!

Rusty,

Are you talking about the reverse of the Bogdan? I don't think it's cloth or other stamping defect.

It looks more like someone scratched the order to check for silver content.

Usually checking for content doesn't leave gouges like that...
At least I haven't seen any other Order/Medal with gouges that deep and that long!

Here's my Friendship of Nations where it was checked...
