"Admiral" caps

Hello!

What do you say about this cap?

Real admiral caps has a gold stripe at the edge and captain caps has metal leaves.

I have seen this type of cap in size 55 and "mint" condition on the Ebay many times the last time.

Examples:
Original Soviet Admiral Parade Dress Black Hat/Obsolete - eBay (item 320524252858 end time May-28-10 09:09:23 PDT)

Original Soviet Admiral Parade Dress Hat+Extra Top/USSR - eBay (item 320527601950 end time Jun-04-10 10:45:51 PDT)

Regards from Per

The whole cap is wrong but might have a genuine "feel" since it is probably made in the same factories and with the same materials as the real ones.

However. Such cap has never existed in the Soviet navy. There should be a golden rim around the visor. Look also at the shape of the top, it is huge and like a mushroom.

Re: "Admiral" caps

Jupikos,

The cap is a regular officer's cap that has been "upgraded" with a fake visor.

If it was a 'genuine but upgraded' officers cap it would not have the sweatliner or lining like these (look in the auctions), which is intended to look like the interior of an admirals cap. Please post a picture of a regular officers cap with that style interior.
