Re: Medal "For Participation In The Serbo-Bulgarian War 1885".

The Medal "For The Memory Of The War Against Serbia 1885" (Медал „За Бъ Память На Бойната Противъ Сьрбия 1885г“) was founded on 14th November 1886, the first anniversary of the start of the war and was a replacement for the Medal "In Memory Of The Glorious 1885 Campaign". This new commemorative Medal changed the emphasis from a "glorious campaign" to a war and also removed the portrait of the ousted Prince Alexander.

Here is the Silver Medal.

Here is the Bronze Medal with a large connecting ring and an original ribbon. An exceptionally well preserved specimen.

Here's a Bronze Medal that hasn't aged as well but it certainly has its appeal (not to mention that it was very cheap).

This Silver Medal is in pretty good condition, apart from the green gunk - that green gunk caused it to be available for under metal value.
