Short, concrete description of his combat feat or merits:
Throughout the offensive operations during the liberation of the cities of Chersk, Berent and Karthaus between February 14 and March 26, 1945 and during the latest fighting for the liberation the city of Zoppot and the town of Oliva he submitted essential information to the regimental command in an efficient and timely manner, disregarding the difficulties of working in a combat environment. He provided the regimental staff with operational documentation and an excellent record of all men and materiel. He forwarded his information and records to the superior staffs in a timely manner.
During the liberation of the city of Zoppot he promptly prepared combat documentation, without any sleep or rest for 48 hours.
For carrying out his duties in an excellent manner and for his conscientious attitude toward the tasks assigned to him he deserves to be awarded the Order of the Red Star.
