The rule about direct linkings to other forums is not new; as we do not control the images on the other forum (or hosting site), we do not know how long the link is valid, etc. So, with a direct post of the images they will remain here the the thread more valid.

My mistake, I think I might have overlooked that rule somehow.

I think the wide button spacing on the general's tunics make them look a tad bit less military, more like a civilian suit, but for some reason, i think that makes it look even better...

My favorite

Is the one that looks like a 55-56 honor guard uniform.
By the way, if anyone on forum has an extra.....

Forgot to add...

Although the Russian Armed forces are now the IMHO best dressed in the world, Be on the lookout for "prototype russian army caps" on ebay. I have bad feeling they will begin to emerge.

Nice healthy mix of imperial, soviet, and modern russian styles, don't you think?
Disgusting , a mix between 60s USA and Latin American dictatorships ...

I prefer socialist uniforms , thats the stuff you can wear with pride over these disgusting displays of tyranny and Yeltsinism.

Re: New uniforms for the Russian Federation MVD?

I'm not sure I like them, something seems cheap about some of them. I don't know what exactly though. Not to say they are all bad, but the new Militia uniforms I saw don't look that fantastic, especially the General(?) who's visor looks like a broken duck bill on the end on of his cap.

Re: New uniforms for the Russian Federation MVD?

I'm not really a fan of the new uniforms, eventhough I have put the new issue Politsija patches on some of mine.
I did that just to make them more current.

Then I like Lenin and Trotsky's reasons for having the Militia, Police is too Tsarist.

Then I also prefer the stone blue hats which had the full red piping.

Now the hats are mostly black with for whatever reason now the piping is orange..

Re: New uniforms for the Russian Federation MVD?

The black and orange go back to the coat of arms flag which uses the colours associated with Saint George.

There was plenty of black and orange in use before the revolution. Then once again after 1943.
