20th Anniversary Of 105 Award Watch.

Here is another DPRK award watch. This one is also made by a Chinese manufacturer but this one is the Peacock (Kong Que) brand of the Liaoning Watch Company in Dandong City. It has an automatic movement and keeps good time. A very different watch to the "60th Anniversary Of The KPA" watch.

As this watch was most likely made between 1985 and 1995 it is not completely clear what "105" is. The 105th Tank Division was founded in 1948 and upgraded in status in 1950 so it is neither of those events. The Ryunyong Hotel is also "105" but that was only started on in 1987 and is not yet complete.

It could be a collectivised farm, power plant or factory but I think it may most likely be for 20 years service in the 105th Tank Division. It is certainly "chunky" enough and with a strap long enough to be worn over a uniformed Korean wrist.
