Gents.

Will's point is well taken. In the U.S. military, foreign decorations always occupy lowest precedence although foreign neck decorations may be worn. In an instance of a U.S. Medal of Honor awardee also having been awarded a foreign neck decoration, the MH would be positioned above/higher than the foreign decoration.

OBE/MBE

Gents,

Another very nice image of either a British OBE or MBE awarded to an unidentified DHSU aviation Major.

MM?

Gents,

Although it may look like the British Military Medal, it appears this unidentified veteran was awarded the Czech Bravery Medal.

CBE to Coastal Defense Colonel

Gents,

The Red Baltic Fleet's Colonel T. M. Zubov seen wearing his British CBE as a pin back. Note, too, what appears to be an Order of Nakhimov.

Nice photograph !

Every photo that I've ever seen of a Soviet officer who received a foreign neck order shows them wearing it pinned to their uniform rather than worn on the neck.

Will,

While uncommon, I have period images of Soviet personnel wearing foreign neck decorations in the prescribed manner.

Slava....

I would love to see any of those photos if you are able to post them ! :thumbsup

I do have one photograph of a Soviet General presenting an ORB to an American Colonel. The General himself wears the Commander of the U.S. Legion of Merit around his neck, as prescribed. But I suspected that the award ceremony might have been a reciprocal exchange ceremony and that the Soviet General might have just been awarded the Legion of Merit before he himself presented Soviet decorations to American personnel.
