Assuming that the Cuban system of badges is similar to the Soviet one I would expect three main types of Academy badges.The badge below, a blue enamelled Junior Officer version and a white enamelled one for Military Academies, with the rank of Major and above.
The images of Academy Badges being worn on the right are too small to see any detail, I suspect that they are Soviet Academy Badges though.

My "white" beauty:

It's a well made award and i'm very happy to find a couple of this in mint condition.
One is for sale if anyone is interested.

I think that actually 2 type are in use, green one and white for the officers.

No maker marks on the back

I've found a couple of pics about General Alvaro Lopez Miera.
We can see 2 Academy badge on his uniform and this is the first time i see that.
I think one is cuban and the second soviet.

Under Soviet uniform regulations, officers could wear two academy/university badges - one for the highest military academy graduated from, and the other from the highest civilian educational institution (if I'm remembering correctly). I suspect that if someone from Cuba were allowed to attend a Moscow military academy (the only ones for foreign officers), then it was a sufficiently prestigious badge to be allowed to wear it along with any others. At least that's my best guess.:)

I received just today this badge. It appears an academy award but it's different from the others in shape and colour.

This is dark blue. Anyone have some info?

I would guess it's a University graduate award - looks similar to soviet ones.
