'Patches?... I don't have to show you no stinkin' patches!"
'Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges! I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges!' ...a la The Treasure of the Sierra Madre.
Cleaning out my foot locker and came across these patches. Patches lovers of the world ... enjoy. v/r Dat Nguyen |

I do not like those animals...some of them look ridiculous.
I have a patch I put on my jacket saying "Oxpaha" on it with a sword and the Russian flag! :D Kind of like the OMOH patch! What does Oxpaha mean I wonder... Anywho, I like some of the Russian patches, mainly MVD, they are pretty. |

Re: 'Patches?... I don't have to show you no stinkin' patches!"
was this some kinda tradition in the Russian army , to adopt a animal to display the kind of power ?
i have to admit indeed they are some times ridiculous. but i kinda like the feel they give to a unit. it be cool to say i'm tiger squat instate of bravo company. ser-g |

Dat, in the left picture, the upper left one is for "Social Order Police" in the Russian city of Mikailovka. The two upper right ones are veteran patches. The lower left is Russian Emergency Services Dog Rescue and the lower right is a Belarussian special operations unit.

The right picture, from top left to right: Russian legal-medical service, Belarussian unit, and Ukrainian Air Mobile Division. Bottom left is Ukrainian Military High School (former Suvorov Academy), center is a Moldovan military unit (I think special troops, not special ops), and last Russian GRU or military intelligence.
