Durov's book

Revision day for your class lessons gentlemen!

In the good small Durov's book "russian and soviet military awards", page 85 the nakhimov 1st class is clearly a copy, isn't it?

Why do you say that? I can't see any details on that picture, that would allow for such determination.

well I should have said that I could be a copy proposed here because of a posible lack of time for conception of the book...
The facts: what hurts me, on my book, is the lemon yellow aspect of gold-plating, and the blue-green enamel...as Paul said.
I ask the opinion of you all in the forum, because maybe it is also a simple over-exposition of the photo (too much flash light).

by the way, the Durov is my favorite book, by the quality of the all other pics, and its soviet aspect...

I can't tell weather it's a copy or not from that photo. Durov is a very respected historian and researcher, and since he has access to all State museums he does not need to publish copies.

Just to add, in the book there are many awards MUCH More RARE than Order of Nachimov, and they are original...

And, the book is official book of the order of Lenin State History museum, so there is no need for copies.

That's my thoughts.

Tal's explanation is perfectly logical; I think it is the light exposition which drove me into error, the gold-plating appears a bit yellowish compared to others pics. Thanks you all! seb
