"3rd Conference Of The State Prosecution Organisation" Badge.

Anyone ever see one of these?

The guy I go this from a while back said this was for the "voluntary police" of Mongolia. To me it looks more like a judicial/prosecutor or militia badge, 3rd class, because of the crossed swords and shield motif. It is logical that since the Mongolian security services were set up by the Soviets based on the Cheka (c. 1920), the other similar departments would have reciprocal symbols. It is brass and what appears to be paint with a pin-back attachment.

Thoughts anyone?

This is a new one for me. I would guess it is for the third conference of the state prosecution organization. But the MБ meaning escapes me. Maybe I am just having a "stupid moment".

It has all of the iconography of state prosecution and none of the symbols of the police auxiliary. Dealers will say whatever they want to say or feel they need to say.

A nice NIB (Not in Battushig). Thanks for showing it.

No problem. It was dirt cheap and I've had it for a while. I've always wondered what the heck it really was for though. Perhaps someone will recognize it eventually.:)
