Re: DPRK Prices "How Much To Pay"

Still waiting for the prices to get 'reasonable.' In the year past, I don't think "The Great Successor" has done much to loosen the party's grip on the people of DPRK.
Or are winds of change blowing, does anyone truly know? The CIA was famously surprised when the USSR dissolved.. :D

Trust me George... The prices are still low or even not worth the postage on many items. A good question to ask is "If they are so rare how does this Yorkshireman have so many?".

I also have a lot more as of yet unseen... If they cost proper money I couldn't touch them.

As I have said many dozens of times before.... NOT for investment. Research purposes only.

I can confirm this. All you guys seem to find is Chinese dealers pushing at a price worth puking for.

Re: DPRK Prices "How Much To Pay"

The enthusiasm for hoarding these items is difficult to maintain with the numbers that are available. The only reason I'm still piling them up is to find undocumented variations. There are at least 100 variations of Orders and Medals not in any reference book. Even in the last week I've picked up new variations. Many more yet to present themselves.

If these were available to purchase directly from recipients or dealers in the DPRK the prices would be so low that you'd have to pay with Zimbabwe Dollars. Millions of items very finite interest.

Re: DPRK Prices "How Much To Pay"

It'd be interesting to see how they could make this giant economic revolution.
I know they could make a few dollars selling me some of those awards!

Let's see if the market does get flooded with DPRK Awards in 2013. The DPRK Coins and Stamps on the international market usually have very little demand as they are produced solely for the purpose of collecting and not to be used as postage or currency.

Re: DPRK Prices "How Much To Pay"

Well, you remember when everyone wanted to make a factory and invest in business in China? China isn't popular anymore because of the low quality and not too cheap labour after all.

That's when the DPRK pops into the picture. Myself I am working on 3 different vehicle import projects within the EU.

Many of the big banks and companies in Europe have startet different projects or business-trips to Pyongyang.

Re: DPRK Prices "How Much To Pay"

I think you may need to read up on China who are now exporting around $2,000,000,000,000 worth of produce per annum. Nearly 40% of the DPRK's exports go to China too. The DPRK's exports are currently around 0.1% the size of the PRC. With an annual increase in exports of 1000% the DPRK has a LONG way to go.

Again; the DPRK is on it's way to become "The New China", as businessmen call it. Not that it will become as big as China, with 24 million citizens against China's 1,3 billion.

Re: DPRK Prices "How Much To Pay"

They are indeed in a tough spot in DPRK: as they've learned from Glasnost and the Eastern Europe movements of the late 1980s, ANY democratization of the press will lead to the regime's extinction. DPRK has outlasted them all only because of its totalitarian, Stalinist nature with the weird Kim dynastic element. It would seem that they want to modernize without opening up, can these two things coexist? More press today on Google's (ex) CEO:
