Re: Fake Orders of the Patriotic War 2nd Class

rocketscientist,
what do you mean when you tell us 'excessive price'? Your order appears being in fair condition. Based on your photos one arm is broken (replaced enamels, 3 o' clock position) and its white enamel appears like replaced (from 11 o'clock position to 6-7 o'clock position). Probably its white enamel is dirty but your photos are not so good to judge your item. Your first photo was taken like a professional faker. I know you do not intend to cheat us but this is the typical way to hide arm's defects (lens is positioned on the opposite to take a photo that can avoid defects). It seems an 'innocent photo' but...
I need better photos... to help you.

Here you go. Thank you progress for your comments.
"excessive price" means more than the usual market price. Not because the order seems to be better than other, but the auction ramped up above average quotations. As I said, it was part of a lot of three orders and I think the overall price was I little too high compared with standards.

I did not notice the problem on the enamel, I think it is just apparent, due to some light effects, I have shot pictures from different angles to make a better assessment.

ciao.
sergio

Thank you for your photos. Probably it was not excessive for you if you offered that money. Could you confirm me that your order's white enamel is yellowish? Another light effect? I think you should change that screw plate.
Regards.

I am pleased to add this unique OPWII to my collection. Of special note is the strange number "8" stamped into one of the arms of a star.

I can hardly wait for it to arrive in the mail. It even comes researched!

Any clues about this numeral "8" on the reverse of the rifle butt?

Re: Patriotic War.

Nobody knows exactly. Several people and books claim they are "technical marks", but without any further explanations.
