As you can see - it was made in Yugoslavia by IKOM

Albania, WWII Medal E "Kujtimit" ( Commemorative Partisan award ).

Founded in 1945.

Rare and very important medal on high ranking list ( 9 of 59 ). Enamel, silver gilt.

Made in Yugoslavia by Ikom, Zagreb.

To quote from Eric Schena's (3rd edition) book on Albanian awards:

". . . awarded to people and groups that participated in uninterrupted service beginning from July 10, 1943 (the date of the creation of the General Staff of the National Liberation Army) up until the liberation of Tiranë on November 29, 1944, either in combat or in political activities. According to the 1980 law, recipients also received the Medal of Bravery."

This one looks nicer than other albanian awards.

Here is a strange "Parrot" Variation as the Fighter has what seems to be a ball on his shoulder which seems to be quite unrelated to any other parts of construction.
I very much enjoy this award as it is very much an honest well worn and aged piece unlike the vast stockpiles of unissued Albanian items so frequently seen.

As I have only been working on an Albanian project for about 15 years now, I am quite happy to be told I have no clue about these sorts of things.

These are usually found in a well worn condition, indicative of their importance in Albania.

Here is a less common Type 3. These Polish examples are most noticeable in the curve of the flag away from the flagpole.

This is an unfortunate Type 2.

Some may not mind the disinformation some people distribute about the metal content of certain awards to try and inflate the price. It is not such a happy story when a recipient (or their family) destroy an award because they need the income, it is even a more disastrous tale when the metal they though was gold just turns out to be some worthless alloy.

A rather sad end to a prestigious award due to a misconception.
