The Medal "For Participation In The Balkan Wars 1912-1913" (Медал „За Участие В Балканските Войни 1912-913 г.“) was instituted 9th December 1933 in three versions for differing types of participation in the wars. The first version was for a combative participation, second for non-combative participation and a third for participation resulting in death. Around 600,000 Bulgarians participated in the wars including 16,423 killed in action. In total c300,000 of these Medals were awarded.

Here is a 20th December 1937 Document awarded to Corporal Ilija Ivanev Ned'lkov who was a Brakesman in the State Railway Service.

This is the earlier A3 sized document. Later, in c1940/1 the document was only A5 sized.
