Badge "Order Guard".
Guys,
Any idea what the rarity of this Latvian Badge is? And it's correct translation. It is described in German as being a Dienstabzeichen der Ordnungswächter Lettlands aus den 40iger Jahren. Eddie.

Definitely a Latvian Druzhinik badge. These were for "volunteer" police helpers (unarmed) who kept order at public events. It is not 1940s though but 1960s.

Finally snagged a "Kartibas Sargs" (Druzhinnik ) badge the other day. Somewhat difficult to find- especially at a reasonable price (I've seen these go for $60 and that, to me, is just too much). Found this one for a whole lot less... comparably priced to other heavy alloy Druzhinnik badges. It's numbered 27555.
