I think it is difficult to see, if the enamel of the flag or the red circle has got some cracks by getting that nick, because the image
is a little bit dark at that spot. And this hit goes through the whole obverse of the order as you can see at this image (marker 2). It should be worth to be mentioned due to the fact that shotgun01 is about to spend a lot of money for it... Last edited by Shocktrooper; 10-20-2012 at 01:04 AM. |

IMO, those two nicks may not be related. As far as can be seen (here I go again... :rolleyes:), the enamel has not been damaged.
One has to remember that gold is a very soft metal when unalloyed. Since later OLs were produced using 950/1000 pure gold, nicks are almost unavoidable. In conclusion, this is a nice looking OL in usual, normal condition. Marc |
