On behalf of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, for the exemplary accomplishment of combat missions in the struggle with the German invaders and the hereby displayed valor and bravery, I award:

The Medal for Courage to:

During our units’ offensive from August 7 and 12, 1943, he was continuously located at the forward observation post and conducted observations among the forward infantry units. On August 7, 1943, during the capture of height 235.9, he was located at the forward observation post, conducting observations under enemy rifle, machine-gun, artillery, and mortar fire. He discovered 2 machine guns and 1 observation post, which enabled their timely suppression by our artillery. Serving as an orderly, he quickly and accurately carried out personal orders from the divisional commander, passing on his orders to the attacking units under heavy artillery and mortar fire.

He deserves the Medal for Courage.

Feldman served in the 164th Rifle Division, 33rd Army, Western Front. But the time period falls right into the middle of the Battle of Smolensk ,in which the 33rd Army took part.
